Application

A color and resin base for interior and exterior oil-based penetrating wood stains. Ideal for both smooth and rough-cut wood.

Properties

Imparts water-proofing properties to protective coatings and enhances natural wood grain. Excellent weatherability. Resists water, abrasion and discoloration.

Formulation/Method of Manufacture

10% Raw Linseed Oil
40% Gilsonite Resin
50% Rule 66 Exempt Mineral Spirits (33 KB)

1. Heat Linseed Oil and Gilsonite to 350°F (175°C)

2. Hold for two hours.

3. Add Mineral Spirits under reflux conditions.
